Scenario
You are using Exclaimer Cloud and have enabled client-side signatures. Your signatures were visible in Outlook, but since you've upgraded your Outlook to the new Outlook for Windows, you notice that your signatures are no longer visible within Outlook.
Reason
The new Outlook for Windows uses Microsoft Roaming signatures as the preferred method to synchronize signatures between the different mail clients. Unfortunately, as your signatures were available on your local machine they will not be visible when using the new Outlook for Windows.
Resolution
In this scenario, we recommend you use the Exclaimer Cloud Outlook Add-in to continue working with client-side signatures.
Exclaimer Cloud Outlook Add-in features:
- The Add-in automatically inserts a signature set as default into the email; giving you confidence that your contact details and organizational branding are present, and in the correct location, when you send your emails.
- The Add-in can also dynamically pick the best signature, depending on who the email is being sent to. For instance, the Add-in can insert your shorter internal signature when you only add internal recipients but insert your content-rich external signature when you add external recipients to the email. For more information see how you can Apply Recipient Settings Client-Side.
- If required, you can select a different signature for a special circumstance - all you need to do is open the Add-in within Outlook and click on the signature you wish to insert.
- The Add-in allows signatures that have been enabled for client-side use in Exclaimer Cloud. For more information, see how you can enable client-side for Microsoft 365 subscription.
