Scenario
You are ready to create a new signature, and you want to use a sample style template to customize instead of creating a new design.
Resolution
Exclaimer offers several pre-designed signature templates to use as a starting point for your signature. All templates are fully customizable.
To start from a blank canvas instead, see how to create a signature without using any pre-defined Exclaimer template.
To create a signature from a pre-defined template:
- Log in to Exclaimer and select Signatures from the menu sidebar.
- Select Create Signature. This opens the Create New window in the Signature Designer.
The list of templates in the Create New window.
- Choose a template from the list of pre-designed template options and select Edit this design to open the template in the Signature Designer.
Tip! To use a template without modifying it, select Save and use to add the template to your list of signatures and go straight to the Manage screen to configure the rules for this signature.

- [Optional] Set a name for your new signature by selecting the pencil icon or the signature name in the header. Edit the text to enter your signature name.

- To save your signature, select Save Changes.
The Save Complete message is displayed. Select from the following options:
Edit Rules: This redirects you to the Manage screen for this signature, where you can configure the rules for applying it.
View All Signatures: This returns you to the All Signatures list and closes the Signature Designer.
Continue Editing: This returns you to the template.
Select an option to continue.
Next Steps: Once you have created a signature, you can start designing it using signature elements. See our knowledge base resources on all the available signature elements in the Edit Signature Design section. For tips on building a signature, see our guidelines for signature design.
