The results list displays up to 100 logs. The list of logs displays columns containing the following data:
Timestamp: Displays the date and time the signature was sent.
Status: Displays the event type - this appears as Information.
Signatures Matched: Displays a True/False result indicating whether a signature that could be applied was found.
Sender: displays the sender's email address.
Details magnify glass icon: Select the icon to view the Log Details for an individual log.
Understanding the Log Details Window
The Log Details window consists of two tabs: Signatures and Details. Each tab contains logging information about the selected signature.
Rules are evaluated and displayed in the same way as the Signatures Tester.
The Signature tab.
Signatures are indicated by a card icon.
The log checks the following conditions for each signature:
- Enabled for client-side/server-side
- Senders
- Exceptions
- Recipients
- Date/Time
- Advanced Rules (Server-Side only)
Select the arrow to expand each signature. This displays the Rules and Result expandables for that signature.
The Rules expandable shows all the rules that were evaluated. Each rule has a Success (green tick) or Failure (yellow cross) icon indicating whether the rule conditions were met. Rules that you did not set are greyed out, showing that they are not applicable to this signature and are not checked by the Tester.
The Result expandable informs you whether the signatures were successful and, if unsuccessful, the reason why they could not apply.
- Success: If all conditions for the signature are met, all rules and the folder will have a green tick icon and the result will show Signature applied.
- Failure: If any conditions are not met, the rules will have a yellow cross icon and the Result will show Signature not applied. The reason for the failure then followed this.
Type: Displays the information type.
Log type: Displays the configuration of the signature.
Log message: Displays whether a signature was applied.
Signatures matched: Displays a True/False result indicating whether a signature that could be applied was found.
The Details tab.
