Scenario
You are using the Exclaimer Cloud Signature Update Agent and would now like to use the Exclaimer Outlook Add-in for client-side signatures.
Resolution
To migrate from using the Exclaimer Cloud Signature Update Agent to Exclaimer Outlook Add-in:
Step 1: Uninstall the Exclaimer Cloud Signature Update Agent
Uninstalling the Exclaimer Signature Update Agent on a user's computer will:
- Remove the program.
- Stop deploying signatures from Exclaimer to Microsoft Outlook (instead, the user will have their signature applied by our Server-Side service, if applicable).
- Remove any Exclaimer signatures from Microsoft Outlook.
- Reinstate any original signatures that were archived for the user when the Agent was installed.
- Reinstate signature options in Microsoft Outlook (local signature options are read-only when the agent is running)
For detailed information on how to uninstall the Agent, see Uninstall Exclaimer Client Signature Update Agent for Windows.
Step 2: Install the Exclaimer Outlook Add-in
The Exclaimer Outlook Add-In is an application that can be centrally deployed to Microsoft Outlook and allows users to add email signatures created within Exclaimer while composing an email. Synchronized signatures are available within the Add-In for users to choose from, and signatures are applied to emails before sending.
For detailed information on how to install the Add-in, see Install Exclaimer Outlook Add-in.
