Working with the LinkedIn Feed signature element – Exclaimer Knowledge Base

Description

The LinkedIn Feed element allows you to connect a LinkedIn feed to your signature. The element displays a preview of the three most recent posts from a connected LinkedIn account, including images, within the signature and allows users to access the posts directly via hyperlinks.

How to access it

To access the LinkedIn Feed signature element:

Open your signature in the Signature Designer.
For more information, see how to select a signature to edit.
From the toolbox, expand Social Feeds and select the LinkedIn Feed element.

Adding and removing a LinkedIn Feed element

To add a LinkedIn Feed element to the signature:

Drag and drop the LinkedIn Feed element onto your canvas.

If you have not connected a LinkedIn account on the Integrations screen, the LinkedIn Social Feed window is displayed.

EITHER:
Select Change LinkedIn Settings to connect a LinkedIn page to your Exclaimer account. This will redirect you to the Integrations section of Exclaimer and and changes to your signature template will not be saved.
OR
Select Continue without connecting to add a placeholder element and connect an account later. No content will be displayed until you connect an account.

The connected LinkedIn Feed displays and links to the latest three posts from the chosen LinkedIn page, depending on the number of posts available.

NOTE: If you do not have any images or videos in a post, they will not appear in your signature.
To change the connected LinkedIn account, expand the LinkedIn Social Feed section in the Properties pane and select CHANGE LINKEDIN SETTINGS.

WARNING! Selecting CHANGE LINKEDIN SETTINGS will redirect you to the Integrations page WITHOUT saving your template.

Removing a LinkedIn Feed element

To delete a LinkedIn Feed from your signature

Select the element on the canvas.
Select Delete from the Properties pane.

Defining LinkedIn Feed element properties

You can edit the following properties in the Properties Pane:

LinkedIn Social Feed properties

LinkedIn Social Feed properties are used to determine whether you wish to display the images in your signature.

Show Title	Select On or Off to toggle the visibility of post titles in connected LinkedIn posts.
Show Images	Select On or Off to toggle the visibility of images in connected LinkedIn posts.
Configure	LinkedIn account: Select which LinkedIn account is connected to the element. Show posts from: Select a LinkedIn page to show posts from.
CHANGE LINKEDIN SETTINGS	Select to add or remove the selected LinkedIn pages, or log into another account.

Text properties

Text properties are used to determine the appearance of any text within your social feed.

Font Family

Select a font from the drop-down menu.

The Branding Fonts section of the drop-down contains font choices set on the Branding screen. If you change the fonts set as Brand Font 1 or Brand Font 2 on the Branding screen, your elements set to Branding fonts will automatically update to the new font choice.

The default font style is Inherit - select this font style to allow your text to inherit a font style from the parent element.

Font size

Select or enter a font size in pixels (px) or points (pt).

The default font size is Inherit - select this font size to allow your text to inherit a font size from the parent element.

Text Color

Select or enter a color for selected text.

Brand Color 1 and Brand Color 2 appear in the color picker and contain color choices set on the Branding screen. If you change these colors on the Branding screen, your elements set to Branding Colors will automatically update to the new color choice.

NOTE: Hyperlinks will always be blue.

Visibility properties

Visibility properties are used to adjust when the item appears.

Always visible	Select to ensure the item is always visible in the signature.
Visible when	Select to set conditions under which an item becomes visible.

Alignment properties

Alignment properties are used to determine the horizontal and vertical alignment of the item.

Horizontal	Select Left, Center, or Right to set the horizontal alignment.
Vertical	Select Top, Center, or Bottom to set the vertical alignment.

Border properties

Border properties are used to set borders on the item.

All

Check All the same to enable the All border properties. Select line style, line width, and line colour to apply to all sides of the item.

Left / Right / Top /Bottom

Uncheck All the same to enable individual border properties for Left, Right, Top, and Bottom. Select line style, line width, and line colour to apply to each side of the item.

Padding properties

Padding properties are used to define spacing for the item.

All	Check All the same to enable the All padding properties. Enter either a pixel or point value to apply padding to all sides of the item.
Left / Right / Top /Bottom	Uncheck All the same to enable individual padding values for Left, Right, Top, and Bottom. Enter either a pixel or point value to apply padding to each side of the item.

Render properties

Render properties are used to determine how the signature is rendered in messages.

Normal	Select to render the signature in HTML.
Bitmap	Select to render the signature as a bitmap image. NOTE: In bitmap signatures, any externally linked images will be embedded into the signature, and text will not wrap if the field size is set to auto.
