Scenario
When you view an email in the mail client (such as, Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail and so on) the URL (for example, an email address or website) appears blue and underlined.
Reason
There can be multiple reasons why this issue can occur:
- The hyperlink hasn't been added properly via the ADD HYPERLINK button (Text properties > ADD HYPERLINK).
- Some mail clients dictate the formatting of the text that looks like a hyperlink. The mail clients will add blue colour and underline the text. In such scenarios, there is not much you can do.
Resolution
Below are some of the options to help you resolve this this issue - please click on the required options listed below to go through the detailed description:
Option 1: Ensure that the text is configured as a hyperlink in the Exclaimer Cloud signature editor
Please make sure any link you add to your email signature is done via the ADD HYPERLINK button.
To add an hyperlink:
- Within the signature template, select the text (object) that is turning blue on preview.
-
From the right-hand side properties pane, expand the Text section, click ADD HYPERLINK.
The HyperLink window is displayed:
- In Destination URL, enter the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) followed by the required Uniform Resource Locator (URL).
If the URL is a field, use curly brackets ({ }) to bring up the list of fields and select the required option.
- In Tooltip, enter the tooltip you want to display when the mouse hovers over.
- Click OK to save the changes made.
These new changes will override the default settings on the mail client.
Option 2: Check the properties to make sure the formatting and colour match your requirements
