Description
The Rotating Banner element enables you to add multiple images to your signature design and, as required, set how the image(s) will rotate when the signature is generated.
To include a rotating banner to your email signature, simply drag and drop the Rotating Banner element onto the signature canvas/griddled background. Once you have dropped the Rotating Banner element onto your signature, you can customize it to suit your organization's requirements.
How to access it?
To access the Rotating Banner signature element:
- Open the signature (in the Signature Designer) to which you wish to add the Rotating Banner element.
For more information, see how you can select a signature to edit.
- From the left-hand side toolbox, expand Tables.
Please click on the required options listed below to go through the detailed description:
To add the Rotating Banner to the signature:
- Drag and drop the Rotating Banner element at the required location on your canvas.

The Rotating Banner window is displayed:
Within the Rotating Banner window, please follow these steps to:
- Click Add Image to add an image placeholder to the list.
NOTES:
- You can add a maximum number of 15 images to the rotating banner element.
You can upload an image with a max size of 150KB.
The recommended file formats are JPG, JPEG and PNG.
- If you add more than one image, the bin icon appears next to the images.
- To delete an image, select the required image and click the bin icon next to it.
- Once a maximum number of 15 images have been added, the Add Image button is disabled.
An image (placeholder) is added to the list.
Example:
- In What type of image do you want to insert, you can either:
- Enter the linked image URL which needs to be linked to the signature, or
- Click UPLOAD IMAGE to locate and select the required image file that needs to be embedded within the signature.
NOTES:
- Link Image: links an image that's hosted elsewhere.
- Embed Image: embeds the required image in the signature.
Example:
- In Hyperlink, enter the required target URL that will open when the image is clicked.
- In Alt Text, enter an 'alternate' text to be shown if, for some reason, the selected image cannot be displayed.
Example:
- Now, select how you would like the image to rotate.
- From the How would you like the images to rotate? drop-down list, select how you wish the image to rotate when the signature is generated. You can select:
- Randomly whenever a signature is generated: An image will be randomly selected to display.
- Randomly change hourly: An image will be randomly selected to display every hour.
- Randomly change daily: An image will be randomly selected to display daily.
- Rotate in order hourly: The selected image will be rotated every hour.
- Rotate in order daily: The selected image will be rotated every day.

NOTE: You can preview the selected time-based rotation rule from the Properties pane.
Additional information:
To remove a Rotating Banner from the signature:
- Within the canvas, select the required image you wish to delete.
- From the right-hand pane, click DELETE.
Example:
- Click OK to confirm the changes else, click Cancel.
To define how the Rotating Banner will look in your email signature:
When you add a Rotating Banner, the properties are displayed on the right-hand pane.
Image properties
Image properties are used to specify where the image file can be found:
We recommend the use of PNG, JPG and JPEG images. For more information, see Embedded images vs hosted images in email signatures.
| Linked Image URL | If required, select then enter the appropriate URL for the image that you wish to display. |

Click to locate and upload the required image file.

Hyperlink properties
Hyperlink properties are used to apply a hyperlink to the image (so when a recipient clicks the image, they are directed to the associated web page):
| Destination URL | Enter the required target URL that will open when clicked on it. |

| Alt Text | Enter 'alternate' text to be shown if, for some reason, this image cannot be displayed. |
Background properties
Background properties are used to define what (if any) background is applied for the image. The default setting is for transparency; however, you can choose a colour if required.

| Background | Enter or select the background colour of the image/icon. |

Visibility properties
Visibility properties are used to determine the circumstances under which the selected image should/should not be displayed:
| Always visible | By default, Always visible is selected. This means that the selected image will always be visible in the signature. |

| Auto-hiding separator | This option is not valid for images. |
| Visible when | Select to define the conditions when the selected image needs to be visible on the signature. |
Alignment properties
Alignment properties are used to determine the horizontal and vertical alignment of the selected image:
| Horizontal | Select one of the required options to horizontally align the image within the signature. The different options are: Left, Center, Right, Justify or Stretch. |

| Vertical | Select one of the required options to vertically align the image within the signature. The different options are: Top, Center, Bottom. |
Border properties
Border properties are used to define borders for the selected image:
| All | Select border properties from the options available, then select All the same to ensure that all borders (left, right, top and bottom) within the signature have the same properties. By default, no border is applied and the border size is set to zero (0). |

| Left / Right / Top /Bottom | Select individual border properties (left, right, top and bottom). These options are enabled if All the same option is not selected. |
Padding properties
Padding properties are used to define spacing for the selected image:
| All | Select padding properties you want to apply (left, right, top and bottom) across the selected image from the options available. Select All the same to ensure that the selected image has the same padding throughout. You can select the padding in pixels or points. By default, no padding is applied. |

| Left / Right / Top /Bottom | Select individual padding settings for left, right, top and bottom. These options are enabled if All the same option is not selected. |
Size properties
Size properties are used to define the size of the selected image:
(The maximum dimensions for an image are 2048 pixels by 2048 pixels)
| Width | By default, the width is set to auto. This means that the image will adjust its width depending on the size of the message viewer. If required, you can also enter the exact width for the selected image - in pixels or points. |

| Height | By default, the height is set to auto. This means that the image will adjust its height depending on the size of the message viewer. If required, you can also enter the exact height for the selected image - in pixels or points. |
To change the image within the Rotating Banner:
- Within the canvas, select the required image you wish to change.
- From the right-hand pane, click MANAGE.
Example:
The Rotating Banner window is displayed:
- Make the required changes.
- Click OK to save the changes made.
To remove the image within the Rotating Banner:
- Within the canvas, select the required image you wish to remove.
- From the right-hand pane, click MANAGE.
Example:
The Rotating Banner window is displayed.
- Click the bin icon next to the image you wish to remove.
Example:
- Click OK to save the changes made.
