Description
Date/Time rules allow you to set a specific date and time range for a signature. Signatures are only applied to emails during the specified date and time range.
Users on Pro plans can also use the Advanced Date range rules to apply multiple date/time conditions and create regular schedules such as weekly or monthly. For more information on Pro plan, see Exclaimer pricing plans.
NOTE: Any changes you make on this screen will only be applied once you select Save Changes. You can edit signature rules in multiple tabs before saving.
How to access it
To access the Date/Time tab:
- From the All Signatures tab, locate your signature and select Manage.
This opens the Manage screen.

Setting a date/time for the selected signature
To set a Date/Time range for a signature:
- Select the Apply date and time range checkbox to enable the Start and End Date/Time fields.

- Enter date and time values in the Start Date/Time and End Date/Time entry fields, or select the calendar icon
to open the calendar and time selector and select Set once picked.
You can set your date and time using the calendar picker and time entry.
- Select Save Changes to save your Date/Time rules. Your signature will now only be applied between the specified Start and End dates and times.
Tip! You can see whether Date/Time rules are applied on the signature card. If a Date/Time rule is applied to the signature, then Date/Time Range Applies is displayed. If no Date/Time rule is applied, then Always Active is displayed.
Setting advanced date/time for the selected signature
NOTE: Advanced Date range is only available on Pro plans. For more information on Pro plan, see Exclaimer pricing plans.
To set an advanced date/time for the selected signature:
- In the Advanced Date range section, select Add Advanced Date Range.

- In Description, enter a name for the Advanced Date Range. This is mandatory.
- From the Time Zone drop-down, select the time zone for the conditions to apply within.
NOTE: Time Zone applies to when the condition is applied, not to the time zone that any users or recipients are in. For example, if a user sets a condition to start at 2.30pm EST, the condition will only start once the time in EST locations reaches 2.30pm, regardless of what time zone the user is located in. - Under Apply Signatures, select a radio button to apply the signature EITHER:
Within this time period: The signature is only applied during the date and time set in the conditions.
OR
Outside this time period: The signature is only applied outside of the date and time set in the conditions.
- From the Interval drop-down, select one of the following date/time periods:

- Daily - the signature is applied once a day between certain hours.
- Weekly - the signature is applied once a week between certain days.
- Monthly - the signature is applied once a month between certain dates.
- Monthly Advanced - the signature is applied one or more times a month on specific days.
- Date/Time Range - the signature is applied during the specified dates and times.

- Set the range criteria for the Interval option you selected. Each Interval option has different criteria.

- To add another condition, Select Add Condition. You may add up to a maximum of 20 conditions.
- To remove a condition, select the bin icon
next to the condition.
- Select OK to save the changes made to the advanced date range and return to the Date/Time tab.
Your saved Advanced Date ranges are listed by Description.
- To edit an advanced date range, select the pencil icon.
- To delete an advanced date range, select the bin icon
.
- Select Save Changes to save your Date/Time rules. Your signature will now only be applied when all conditions in your Advanced Date Range(s) are met.
Tip! You can see whether Date/Time rules are applied on the signature card. If a Date/Time rule is applied to the signature, then Date/Time Range Applies is displayed. If no Date/Time rule is applied, then Always Active is displayed.
