Scenario
You currently use Exclaimer Cloud Google Workspace and wish to migrate to Exclaimer Cloud Microsoft 365.
Resolution
Unfortunately, there is no migration path for Exclaimer Cloud from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, so you will be required to create a new Exclaimer Cloud subscription for your Microsoft 365 tenancy.
To create a new Exclaimer Cloud subscription for your Microsoft 365 tenancy:
- If the Google Workspace tenancy is still in use, remove the content compliance rule in Gmail.
See Stage 2 in how you can uninstall Exclaimer Cloud from your Google Workspace environment
- Note down any signature settings you want to try to replicate from the original subscription, such as which senders apply to which signatures, any other recipient rules, date and time policies and so on.
- Export any required signature templates.
See how you can export a signature template to your desktop.
CAUTION! Once the signature templates are exported, the original subscription will no longer be available. - Now, please contact Exclaimer Sales who will block your original Google Workspace subscription.
CAUTION! Once the original subscription has been blocked, you will no longer be able to log into this account. Please ensure you note all the required settings before your subscription gets blocked. - Once the original subscription is blocked, Create a new Exclaimer Cloud - Signatures for Microsoft 365 subscription and configure the operational service.
- Import the signature templates.
See how you can import a signature template into Exclaimer Cloud.
- Update the signature fields in the templates to use the fields available from Microsoft 365, ensuring that you update the visibility settings for the fields so that they are based on the new fields and not the {City} field as displayed in the example below:
- Re-configure the signature rules as required.
