Relevant Product: Exclaimer Cloud - Signatures for G Suite
Scenario
You have been using Exclaimer Cloud - Signatures for G Suite, but now wish to remove this configuration from G Suite.
Resolution
The steps described here will stop Exclaimer Cloud - Signatures for G Suite applying signatures server-side (G Suite) and synchronizing signatures client-side (Gmail).
Note: This process does not remove existing signatures from Gmail, or restore any signatures that were present before Exclaimer Cloud - Signatures for G Suite was installed.
If you are sure that you wish to proceed, follow the steps described below (in 4 stages):
- Stage 1: Remove the Exclaimer Cloud app
- Stage 2: Remove the Exclaimer Cloud Content Compliance Policy
- Stage 3: Remove the SMTP Relay Service
- Stage 4: Remove the Exclaimer Cloud host
Stage 1: Removing the Exclaimer Cloud app
- Access the Google Admin Console: (https://admin.google.com).
- Select Apps.
- Select Google Workspace Marketplace apps:
- Select Exclaimer G Suite:
- Click DELETE APP:
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: It may take up to 48 hours for Google to replicate this change to all data centres. During this period, Exclaimer may still be able to access your data.
Stage 2: Removing the Exclaimer Cloud Content Compliance Policy
- Access the Google Admin Console: (https://admin.google.com).
- Navigate to Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > Compliance.
- Locate the Content compliance policy related to Exclaimer Cloud:
- Click Delete to remove this policy.
- Click SAVE at the bottom of the window to confirm the changes made.
Note: It may take up to 1 hour for Google to apply these changes.
Stage 3: Removing the SMTP Relay Service
- Access the Google Admin Console: (https://admin.google.com).
- Navigate to Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail> Routing.
- Locate the SMTP relay service policy, related to Exclaimer Cloud:
- Click Delete to remove this policy.
- Click SAVE at the bottom of the window to confirm the changes made.
Note: It may take up to 1 hour for Google to apply these changes.
Stage 4: Removing the Exclaimer Cloud host
- Access the Google Admin Console: (https://admin.google.com).
- Navigate to Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > Hosts.
- Locate the Host related to Exclaimer Cloud:
- Click Delete to remove the required host (there is no confirmation step for this).
- Click SAVE to confirm the changes made.
Note: It may take up to 1 hour for Google to apply these changes.
