Scenario
You have a long signature set up within Exclaimer Cloud, which displays well on Outlook for Desktop and other mail clients and some mobile mail apps.
For example:
However, when the signature is viewed in Outlook for iOS or Outlook for Android, you notice that the logo disappears or appears very small.
Example - logo not visible:
Example - logo very small:
Reason
This issue occurs as the Outlook mail application for these devices tries to fit the signature within its device parameters and therefore decides to cut off the logo itself - this is the default Auto settings for the image.
Resolution
One solution for this issue is to change the layout, but this can cause the logo to appear small.
To resolve this issue:
- (Recommended) In the Properties window, add the dimensions of the logo into the Width and Height.
Please ensure the logo is sized using an image editor first to avoid the image becoming large on a forward and reply email. Then, apply the same Width and Height values that your image is displayed at in the Properties window.
Example:
-
(Optional) Apply a fixed width to the table itself; this should be large enough to accommodate any long email address, names and job titles.
For this scenario, we recommend 450px to 600px; however, if the signature is longer than this, increase the value.
Example:
This will make the signature appear small in general on some mobile devices, but the logo will be displayed with the rest of the signature.
