You are using Exclaimer Cloud, configured with client-side (Google Workspace) synchronization.
When composing messages in Gmail, you notice that the synchronized signature contains two dashes.
This behaviour is the default behaviour for Google Workspace and is caused when the option Insert signature before the quoted text in replies, and remove the “--“ line that precedes it is disabled.
To remove these dashes, follow the steps below:
NOTE: Each user (who is experiencing the issue) should follow the steps below.
- Log in to Gmail.
- Navigate to Settings at the top-right of the window, and click See all settings:
- Within Settings, select the General tab.
- Scroll down to Signature options.
- Tick the Insert signature before the quoted text in replies, and remove the “-- line that precedes it option:
- Save your changes.
