Continuous prompts to enter Microsoft 365 credentials

NOTE: The steps described here refer to a previous version of the user interface.

Scenario

Once you launch your Exclaimer subscription and click the options list from the top-right of your screen then select Settings - you are prompted to enter your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator credentials.

NOTE: Only Microsoft 365 Global Administrators are permitted to access and modify the Exclaimer subscription configuration.

And, when you enter your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator credentials and click OK, the page refreshes and returns to the Exclaimer subscription or you are prompted to re-enter the credentials. But, the Settings page is not displayed.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Use your Global Administrator credentials and log into the Office 365 Admin Center. 

  2. In a new tab, in the same web browser session, log into the Exclaimer portal and attempt to open the Settings page (click the options list from the top-right of your screen and select Settings)

To prevent similar issues in the future, consider the following tips:

  • Ensure that your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator credentials are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies if you continue to experience credential prompts.
  • If the issue persists, contact Exclaimer support for further assistance.
