Scenario
You wish to create an email signature from scratch.
Resolution
You can easily create an email signature using tables - they are a great way to build and control the email signature design, using rows, columns, and padding to add space and give the signature template a professional feel.
To create a skeleton table:
-
Log in to Exclaimer and select Signatures from the menu sidebar. The All Signatures tab is selected by default.
- Select Create Signature.
The Signature Designer screen is displayed with the Create New window open.
- Select Create Blank Signature.
Select Create Blank Signature.
The Table Shape window is displayed.
When designing a signature layout, it is often useful to work within a table with columns and rows representing the required signature shape.
- If you want to base your signature on one of the pre-defined table layouts, select the required table layout and select Yes.
If you don't want to base your signature on a pre-defined table layout and prefer to work with the other table options, select No.

- In the Signature Designer, expand the Tables section.
Expand the Tables section.
- From the options available, drag and drop the required table layout into the signature canvas/griddled background.
Drag and drop a table layout into the canvas.
If you don't prefer the available layouts, you can create your own custom layout.
Select Custom... to create your own table layout.
The Custom... window is displayed. The custom table allows you to use more columns or rows (maximum of 20 cells).
- As required, enter the Columns and Rows.
Enter the number of columns and rows you want to have in your table.
- Select OK to create the table and close the Custom... window.
To create a signature skeleton for your layout, you can use more than one table for the structure.
For example:
Drag and drop a table shape into the signature canvas/griddled background:
Drag and drop another table shape:
Drag and drop another table shape:
You can add in the elements: fields, images, social media, and use the table properties to add widths, add space and stretch the inner tables to create a structure you can use throughout.
