Scenario
When sending an email, you notice that extra line spacing has appeared within your email signature.
Reason
This issue typically occurs when replying to emails. The mail client adds its own line-height value to the email signature, causing it to display with double-line spaces.
Resolution
NOTE: The steps here assume that you have already created an email signature. For more information, see how to create a signature.
To resolve this issue, set a Line Height value that is 2pts larger than the Font size.
CAUTION! This method will not work when using Client-Side and the Outlook Update Agent due to the code added by the mail client.
To set a Line Height value:
- Open your signature template in the Signature Designer.
- Each aspect of the signature is outlined in a layer. Select the outermost layer of the signature template.
- In the Properties pane, under Text, enter a Line Height value that is 2 pts higher that the Font Size value.
