Scenario
You would like to include a banner in your signature that rotates between multiple images but are unable to find this feature in the Signature Designer.
Note: This feature within Cloud does not work in the same way as the rotating banner feature in our on-premise products, but it does produce a similar result.
Resolution
To set up rotating banner ads, you need to set up the signatures similar to the below example:
- The main signature should be first on the list, followed by individual banner signatures with the image embedded or hosted inside. The last (end) signature should be the disclaimer (if you have one):
- For all signatures other than the disclaimer signature, you need to set up the rules to Process the next signature. This setting will allow the banners to appear after the main signature and before the disclaimer.
- The Date and Time Rule should be set on each of the banners, this will allow them to rotate for a period of time, as specified in the date and time rule.
Warning: Please be aware that once the date and time rule expires, it will need to be re-set for another time period.
- Finally, on the disclaimer, set up the server-side rule and leave the don't process the next signature setting as it is:
