The Address {Fields} element is a group of common address fields, which are grouped so you can quickly add address details in one action:
Having dropped this element into your design, setup options are displayed so you can customise these fields.
This article consists of the following sections:
Setting up address fields
Having dropped this element into your design, you can decide whether you want to keep default fields in the group and/or add other fields. You can also set field labels and choose how the address is presented in the signature:
From here, you can:
Removing a field
To remove an address field from the group:
- Simply click the cross icon against the field you want to remove:
Note: It doesn't matter if you change your mind later about which fields to include. Once you've added a group of fields to a signature design, you can still remove individual fields at any time.
Adding a field
To add more fields to the group:
- Click the Add {Field} button:
This adds another row to the list.
- You can select another field from the Field drop-down list then click OK to confirm:
Setting field labels
To add a text label or add an icon before each field:
- From the Label drop-down list, enter the required text or select an icon to display before each field:
Selecting an address layout
To choose how the address will display on your signature:
- Select the required layout from the different options available: Table, Multi-Line, or Single Line.
-
Select Table, to display address fields in a table (as indicated by green borders) with one field per row:
-
Select Multi-Line, to display each field on a separate line. By default, Multi-Line is selected.
- Select Single Line, to display the fields on the same line. Select Show field separators to use the defined separators to separate the fields.
Field separators will automatically hide if the field on either side is blank in the Microsoft 365 or Azure AD.
Group properties
Once you've confirmed the setup of address fields and added this element to your design, properties for the group are displayed:
These properties define how fields within the group will look and behave. By default, all grouped fields inherit group properties, but you can always select an individual field later, to define specific properties.
For more information on how properties are inherited, see Understanding signature hierarchies and inheritance.
