Scenario
This article explains how you can use the Conditional Visibility tool within Exclaimer Cloud to have more advanced conditions.
For example:
if($department = marketing){ if($jobtitle contains manager){ show 'Marketing Manager' banner } else { if($jobtitle DoesNotContain manager){ show 'Marketing' banner } } |
In this example, we use two banners, one for the Marketing Manager and one for just Marketing.
Resolution
To use advanced conditional visibility options:
- Insert a custom 1x1 table, or a 1x2 table from the toolbar:
- Insert both banners into this cell.
- Select the table you have just inserted (by selecting the gold line around it).
For more information, see What do the coloured borders mean in the Exclaimer Cloud signature designer? - The Properties window is displayed. Select the Visibility option.
- Set the Visible when option to Department > Equals > Marketing
- Now, select the Marketing Manager banner and go to the Visibility option, and in Visibility when set: Jobtitle > Contains > Manager:
- Select the Marketing banner and go to the Visibility option, and in Visibility when set: Jobtitle > Does not contain > Manager:
- Click Save to save the changes made.
NOTE: There may be occasions where multiple tables will need to be used, to set visibility settings on, especially if you want to use multiple If / Or statements to show images, text or even links and social media, and also have something in place if nothing else shows.
