When you forward an email, with web hosted images, the recipient sees the image as a white box with black border. Something like this:
In Microsoft Outlook, the image is displayed with a white box and black border when the recipient hasn’t downloaded the image into the email before forwarding it.
You can download the images from the Infobar at the top of your message:
- Click to download the images.
Change Security Settings in Microsoft Outlook
You can change the security settings for hosted images in Microsoft Outlook.
To do this:
- On the File tab click Options.
The Outlook Options dialog is displayed.
From the left-hand side, click Trust Center.
- Click Trust Center Settings....
The Trust Center dialog is displayed.
- Click Automatic Download to view and as required, select from the different options available.
