You are using Exclaimer Cloud – Signatures for Office 365, and start to receive bounce-backs emails from sent messages, stating:
This issue can occur when a – symbol is a part of the recipient address. The issue occurs when a recipient address is copied and pasted into the To: field when composing an email. When copied, the recipient address will contain a dash instead of a hyphen and the result is that the address is no longer UTF-8 supported.
The recipient address must be typed manually instead of being copied and pasted. To delete the incorrectly formatted address:
- Open Outlook and click ‘New Email’
- Begin typing the issue recipient email address.
- Click the X on the right-hand side of the drop down box as pictured below.
4. Type the recipient address manually, this new address will be correctly stored within Outlook after successfully sending an email.
