The Image/Logo element is used to add images (including logos) to signature designs. These are typically smaller images, which can be placed within signature content without disrupting the layout - for example:
Adding an image or logo
To add an image/logo, just drag and drop this element into your design:
Having dropped the element, you can choose what type of image to add:
Here, you can either:
- Link to an image that's hosted elsewhere. In this case, ensure that the Linked Image URL radio button is selected and enter the appropriate URL.
- Embed the required image in the signature. In this case, ensure that the Embedded Image Upload radio button is selected and click the Upload Image button to locate and select the required image file.
When you add or edit an image or logo, image properties are displayed. These properties are summarised below:
Image source properties
Image Source properties are used to specify where the image file can be found:
|Linked Image URL||If required, enter the appropriate URL for the image that you wish to display.|
|Embedded Image Upload||To embed an image in your design, click the Upload button to locate and upload the required file.|
Hyperlink properties are used to apply a hyperlink to the image (so when a recipient clicks the image, they are directed to the associated web page):
|Destination URL||Enter the required target URL|
|Alt text||Enter 'alternate' text to be shown if, for some reason, this image cannot be displayed.|
Background properties are used to define what (if any) background is applied for the image. The default setting is for transparency however, you can choose a colour if required.
Visibility properties are used to determine the circumstances under which the image should/should not be displayed:
|Always visible||The default setting is to always to display the image.|
|Hidden if this field is empty||You can choose to hide this image if a (selected) user attribute is empty.|
|Auto-hiding separator||This option is not applicable for images.|
Alignment properties are used to determine horizontal alignment for the image - choose Left, Center or Right as required.
|All||Select a border type, size and colour and ensure that the All the same check box is ticked. These settings will be applied for all borders (left, right, top and bottom). This is the default setting (by default, no border is applied because the border size is set to 0).|

|Ensure that the All the same check box is not ticked and define individual border properties as required.|
Padding properties are used to add spacing for the image:
|All||The default setting is for there to be no padding - i.e. Left, Right, Top and Bottom are set to 0 and the All the same check box is selected.|

Size properties are used to define the size allowed to display the image:
|Width||Leave the default value of auto to allow this field to adjust its width, depending on the size of the message viewer. Alternatively, specify an exact width (in pixels or points).|
|Height||Leave the default value of auto to allow this field to adjust its height, depending on the size of the message viewer. Alternatively, specify an exact width (in pixels or points).|
