Upgrading
Upgrading to Auto Responder version 2 is achieved by performing an in-place upgrade using these steps:
- Downloading the Auto Responder from the website.
- Installing Auto Responder.
Note: The configuration is preserved during the upgrade procedure. You won’t need to recreate any templates or enter any configuration settings into the new version.
Important: When upgrading from Auto Responder 1 to Auto Responder 2 the product will go into trial mode. You will need to obtain a new license for Auto Responder version 2 from the Exclaimer Sales team.

Installing
Run the ‘Auto Responder' installation file ‘Setup.exe’ on each Microsoft Exchange Server that has the Hub Transport role (Exchange 2007/2010) or Mailbox role (Exchange 2013) installed. An MSI is available from Exclaimer support by Raising a Ticket online.
Note: During the installation the Microsoft Exchange Transport service will be restarted. Once the installation is complete, no further configuration is required and the product is operational.
The configuration files are located in the following folder and will not be removed as part of the uninstall process:

Note: The installation process will not lose any of the configuration or settings. However as a precaution, you may wish to export your configuration. During the uninstallation the Microsoft Exchange Transport service will be restarted.
Export Steps
- Open the Exclaimer Console.
- Select the ‘ Exclaimer’ node.
- Open the ‘ Action’ menu.
- Select ‘ Export Configuration...’
- Select a location and file name for the export and press Save.
