Permissions required
Below are the permissions required to run Exclaimer with a Google Workspace subscription.
See, edit, create, and delete all of your Google Drive files
Exclaimer requires permission to access everything in your Google Drive. It will be able to do the same things you can do, including:
- See files
- Upload and download files
- Delete files
- See the names and emails of people you share files with
- Share and stop sharing files with others
- Remove people from files
- Organize your Drive. There may be private information in your Google Drive, like financial records, medical reports, photos or tax info.
This permission is the basic read/write permission. This permission is required because Exclaimer stores files for signature deployment in a Google Drive folder. Exclaimer will not remove, edit, or download any personal files.
See, edit, create, or change your email settings and filters in Gmail
Exclaimer requires permission to:
- See your primary Gmail address
- See and update your reply-to, display name, and signature
- See and update your vacation responder settings
- See your forwarding settings
- See who else can access your Gmail account
- Edit, create, and delete filters that can move or delete emails
- See and edit IMAP or POP settings
This permissions is required because Exclaimer needs to apply or change rules and settings in order to deploy signatures.
View customer related information
- View details (e.g., contact email, organization title etc) of customer
This permission is required to allow Exclaimer to identify your company contact details.
View domains related to your customers
- View domain aliases and multi-domains (secondary domains) for your customers
This permission is required to allow Exclaimer to see which domains require access to signatures and subscriptions. This will also prevent unauthorized domains from accessing your subscription.
View group subscriptions on your domain
- View details (e.g., memberships and roles) of group subscriptions in your domain
This permission is required because Exclaimer needs to see which user groups are accessing your subscription.
View groups on your domain
- View details (e.g., name, members) and metadata (e.g., login details) of groups on your domain
This permission is required for Exclaimer to identify users of your subscription.
View organization units on your domain
- View metadata (e.g., name and description) of organization units
This permission is required for Exclaimer to further identify users of your subscription.
See info about users on your domain
This app wants permission to see profile info about your domain users, such as their:
- Names
- Addresses
- Phone numbers
- Metadata, including user's role, manager info, and last login time
This permission is required for Exclaimer to integrate user details for use in your signatures.
See your primary Google Account email address
This app wants permission to:
- See the primary email address associated with your Google Account
This permission is required for Exclaimer to identify you as a user.
See your personal info, including any personal info you've made publicly available
This app wants permission to:
- See your full name
- See your profile picture
- See your gender
- See your preferred languages
- See any other information you've made publicly available
This permission is required for Exclaimer to further identify you as a user and integrate your details with your signatures.
