Scenario
You wish to apply a 'contact details' type signature to all emails sent from your organization, but you only want to add a disclaimer for external emails.
Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue similar to the above scenario:
- Create one generic template with the 'contact details' signature (this will be applied to every email).
- Create another template with the disclaimer (this will only be applied to emails sent to external recipients).
- Set signature rules for the generic template.
- Click MANAGE against the required signature template.
- Select the Advanced Rules tab.
- In If this signature is applied section, select the Process the next signature option.
Process the next signature means you can apply multiple signatures to a single email message (using the server-side feature).
NOTE: Signatures are processed from top to bottom, as displayed in the All Signatures tab.
- Now, set signature rules for the disclaimer template.
- Click MANAGE against the required signature template.
- Select the Advanced Rules tab.
- In If this signature is applied section, select the Do not process the next signature option.
NOTE: Signatures are processed from top to bottom, as displayed in the All Signatures tab.
- Click SAVE CHANGES to save the changes made.
Once the two signature templates have been updated, you can verify the rules attached to them on the signature card.
