Scenario
When you view an email in the mail client (such as, Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail and so on) the URL (for example, an email address or website) appears blue and underlined.
Resolution
NOTE: The steps described here assume that you have already created an email signature. For more information, see how you can create an email signature.
To resolve this issue, you need to enter a (physical) link:
- Within the signature template, select the field where the Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI) need to be entered.
NOTE:
The most common Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI) are:
mailto: Email Address
HTTP://, HTTPS:// Web Pages
tel: Telephone Numbers
sip, skype: Skype
fax: Fax (no longer supported
- Click Text then select ADD HYPERLINK.
The HyperLink window is displayed: - In Destination URL, enter the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) followed by the required Uniform Resource Locator (URL).
If the URL is a field, use curly brackets ({ }) to bring up the list of fields and select the required option.
- In Tooltip, enter the tooltip you want to display when the mouse hovers over.
- Click OK to save the changes made.
These new changes will override the default settings on the mail client.
